                           Identify membership in Association
                           ABA, AFL/CIO

    2)      Determine Strength of Mark by Search
                  ●  Fanciful - inherently distinctive - no other meaning  
                           Kodak, Xerox
                   ● Arbitrary - Actual Words but NOT used to describe or suggest
                           Apple Computer,
                  ●  Suggestive - Actual words that describe or suggest
                           Best Carpet Cleaning, Jolt Cola

    3)      Research and Classify Proposed Mark using Type and Strength Findings

    4)      Prepare and File Application

    5)      Prosecute your strengths before the Trademark Office

    6)      Publish for others to comment

    7)      Issues/ Registration

    8)      Good for life of USE - Must renew
                     Must submit proof of use between the 5th and 6th year
                     And every 10th anniversary thereafter
